I haven't done much PS wise recently; I guess that Vampire Solstice took over
for a month and that was the habitat I was engaging with.
But that is finished now and so I got a call to mount a dragon and go
travelling, which dutifully I did.
|
This took me to a very sci-fi type of planet, with many spaceships landing, lots
of orbital activity, and an atmosphere which was barely breatheable. It wasn't
toxic though and one of the neat things I remember about this was that I had
this long cloak and hood, and the hood created a kind of barrier to stabilise
the atmosphere and protect me from the worst of it; it was also as a garment
quite neat in so far as it created a very protective atmosphere inside of
itself, and shielded very nicely from the heat.
A useful thing, this cloak; obviously something that is used when a space suit
would be too much, but being unprotected would be too dire.
Anyway.
I landed me dragon on a pad made for space ships; found my way out of the space
port, onto a transport system, to a hotel; I spend the night in an interesting
anti-gravity type water/gel bed. In the morning, I donned my cloak and went
outside, still having absolutely no idea why I was there.
Soon enough, I found out.
There was another one of those massive diamond things, crashed into this planet,
and massively distorting everything with radiation and endlessly pushing forward
into the crust in a spiral widing movement, or at least, this diamond (blue, for
a change, not white) was trying to complete this movement but couldn't and was
pushing the whole planet slowly but seriously out of whack.
To make a long story short, I transformed into a different kind of being, white
with metal channels on the outside, to help diffuse that radiation, and went
inside of it, and managed to reverse the polarity in the generators using my
body and will.
When I did, the blue diamond space ship took off, superfast, and rushed into
this dimension where there were loads of these diamonds making a grid network.
It found it's place, connected up with the others, some more adjustements and a
huge sway of that field ended up lighting up like a christmas tree chain when
you've replaced a faulty bulb.
These diamond things are weird.
This is the second one I've found and returned now.
But, in accordance to the PS covenant, we're not to wonder what or why, just do
it, and done it is.
Alright!

A Green Diamond, This Time?
What is it with these diamonds? Am I Sonic The Hedgehog, on a quest to retrieve as many of these as possible? My next outing involved following an underground river to a very, VERY ancient city - a hundred thousand years old, in a vast cavern, encrusted in mineral deposits of the ages.
I found the the ghost of an ancient guardian there, who was stuck because he
had promised to take care of the city when everyone had started to die.
But what had happened?
At first I thought it was a plague or something, but when I went back in time
to investigate, I found that someone had brought what they had thought to be
"magic lanterns", green glowing shards of some kind, and these had been entirely
poisonous, like plutonium rods, oozing out a very powerful but invisible poison
that had eventually killed everyone there.
When I inspected these shards further, I discovered to my amazement that they
were shards of - yet again one of these mysterious diamond things, a green one
this time.
Some IDIOT had thought it was a good idea to chop it up and sell it for
trinkets! and killed this entire civilisation in the process.
But there is more to this, I can feel it.
The quest is now developing into finding the shards and reconstructing the
green diamond, and taking it home to where it belongs, as was the case with the
other two.
The poor old guardian is in quite some state after all this time in this
extremely toxic environment and resting, and I guess I'll have to find the other
bits now. Shouldn't be too difficult, because their energy is truly unique and
if you shift your point of view into a matrix dimension, they should stand out
like flares.
Wish me luck ...

Collecting The Green Diamond Splinters
I have a magic tower with a viewing screen across the dimensions, amongst other
things, so I went there to check out the location of the other shards from this
diamond.
I would still love to know who these IDIOTS were who, in times way past, tried
to use the dimensional diamonds for power sources, or for decorations, for
heaven's sake. They must have been a right bunch of sorcerer's apprentices who
thought they could do what they liked, but didn't see the bigger picture.
Well, the viewing screen showed up the location of the vast mass of that green
diamond on a planet that was as dead as a doornail. Totally poisoned,
civilisation completely disappeared and long turned to dust, not a thing alive
there, nor on any of the other planets in that system, and the sun itself was a
mess from the emanations of the diamond.
I was very relieved by that, at least the bulk of the problem was right there
and it also gave me a place to take the other bits to and try and re-assemble
the green diamond enough so it could launch and get back to where it had been
taken from.
For those who have joined this story lately, these diamond things are big.
They're like big flying saucers and they create/funnel an incredible storm of
energies. They come from a dimension where there are lots of them and together,
they make a clean and functional grid; displaced into our dimension, they are
nothing but serious trouble.
The viewing screen showed up the placement of the shards from this green
diamond, and you could see how they had been tracked outward from the dead
planet quite a way, luckily not too far - I guess the toxicity got the carriers
before they could travel any vast distance.
The screen also showed that there existed lines of communication between the
main bulk of the diamond, and its splinters - a terrifically horrible web of
twisted and criss-crossing lines that made a distorting mesh over that entire
area of space and must have caused absolute havoc, must still be causing
absolute havoc.
I looked at the shards and there were too many for me to pick up personally, so
for the first time in over 18 months, I decided to re-assemble the entire crew
and share the task.
That was very strange.
I called them and they all came.
They all have changed considerably and we were quite uncomfortable with each
other, said little. I took them to the tower and showed them the problem, and
one by one stepped up to the screen, put their hands on an area of space and
said, "I'll take care of those."
By the time they were all done with choosing which area to deal with, there were
none left for me; so I took that to mean that my task was on the central dead
planet, receiving the splinters as they came in and re-constructing the diamond.
Mark was with me throughout that, being very in awe of the crew, half hiding
behind me and just watching the procedings.
They all left for their respective areas and I'll be on my way now in a bit to
the central dead planet and await the first shards to be delivered.
All of this has a weird sense of inevitability about it, as though it is a movie
I've seen a hundred times before, and it all runs very strangely, and smoothly.
But who knows.
A surprise or two might still be on the way ...

quest task>

Taking The Diamond Home
My crew did the job well and brought all the shards, put them in orbit around
the dead planet. There were a few that couldn't be found but as there was
nothing we could do about that, I decided to go ahead and re-assemble the thing.
We raised the main part of the broken diamond up into orbit as well and it was
really fascinating how the shards began to organise themselves and were pulled
back together and into their rightful places.
As more and more began to fit together and close the great gaping gap on the
right side of the diamond, it began to change colour and lean more towards a
yellowish green than that radiant, poisonous green it was before, much more
pleasant and not so hard on the energy system.
When all the shards we'd found were in place, I noticed that there was some form
of healing process taking place, as though the diamond was a living thing that
was trying to regenerate, and it got more yellowish still, stabilised at a very
pleasant spring/lemon yellow.
Then we assisted it in its momentum and movement towards its own dimension which
was kind of forward, up and towards the left. It wanted to go there and we
pushed it from behind, so it gathered good speed and eventually there was this
threshold break into that diamond dimension where there are just LOADS of these
diamonds, acres of them, endless fields of them, up and down and left and right
and in between, and they are all connected in the most complicated way with
these strands and lines of energy flow and communication which makes that entire
space dense, radiant and *singing*.
As before, it was immediately obvious where it belonged.
It moved towards its rightful place for starters and you can easily track the
trajectory forward; and that points straight into an erea of where the diamond
web is clearly broken and disturbed, dark, tangled lines that don't connect, and
vortices and such.
It's weird with these things, I can point to the direction, it is very specific
and although I know we're not supposed to wonder what it means or what this is
about, it does strike me as being somewhat strange, and I *do* wonder what I'm
doing and why.
Still.
We helped the diamond into its rightful position and it immediately connected to
its neighbours, and as before, this entire erea of the diamond field just lit up
like a christmas tree when you put a bulb back in that was broken.
Our diamond turned more towards yellow white in the process and it was just so
lovely to see all the other diamonds around picking up in brightness and
resonance right in return.
Who needs LSD!
So with all that done, and the effects starting to reverberate around that whole
space, we turned and flew back to where I'd left the tower/spaceship for a
party.
There, as well, above the dead planet, you could already see that nature was
once more at work, trying to repair the damage.
The field lines above and around the planet were calming down and trying to
return to their original purpose and position; the sun wasn't churning so bad
anymore, and it just felt as though even the dead planet wasn't suffering so
intensely anymore, as though it had stopped crying.
Strange, but what can I say.
Very moving, this power of restoration, to see this entire part of the galaxy
working so hard to get back with the programme, the Even Flow.
Nature never gives up, not ever, and as soon as you so much as get out of its
way, it will IMMEDIATELY return towards Even Flow.
I feel a bit guilty in hindsight about thinking this quest to be boring, or
mundane. To assist in *anything* getting back with the programme is a wonderful
thing; it's like that you're allowed to do that, that you *can* do that, is
astonishing and very humbling, strangely.
Still, we will now celebrate a job well done.
And that was the green diamond quest, completed.
