MODERN Stress Management (MSM)

MODERN Stress Management (MSM)

Modern Stress Management replaces the 1908/1950s old fashioned negative and destructive stress management programs.

Modern Stress Management is built on theย  Modern Energy Chart which acknowledges and works with the existence of positive emotions as well as negative emotions.

It is called MODERN Stress Management to delineate it from old or existing stress management, which wrongfully attributes "optimal performance" at the high stress levels of -5 on the Energy Body Stress Chart. This fault occurred because in the original research (Yerkes-Dobson Law of Arousal 1908) sleeping rats were electro-shocked and their "performance" in running a maze was measured. In other words, only pain -> more pain -> even more pain was being measured, without measuring the performance of "happy rats" or even taking performance in a happy rat into consideration at all.

From this reality reduced model the 1950s "stress guru" Hebb developed the "Hebbian Model" which also puts optimal performance at -5, when in fact it belongs at +10.

Existing stress management programs have been driving people deeper into stress, rather than raising them to the right side of the SUE Scale. This is the reason for the Trillion Dollar Stress Pandemic as well as the reason for why it's getting ever worse, rather than better.

Modern Stress Management works by improving energy awareness, then raising energy and teaching energy raising techniques to literally get out of stress (-8 -> -1) and into success (+1 -> +10).

The principles of Modern Stress Management are explained in Silvia Hartmann's seminal book, "The Trillion Dollar Stress Solution," DragonRising 2016.
