This is a story about healing - how hard do you think it is? How long does it take? How difficult is it to heal, and does it matter if you "believe"?

One of the core concepts of
EmoTrance is the "Even Flow" - what a natural system does when nothing gets
in its way, a natural system's perfect operating expression.
A really important aspect of the Even Flow principle is that all natural systems
have this IMMENSE drive towards the Even Flow. Sometimes people get that
confused with "survival" but it is much more than that.
This immense drive towards Even Flow is a powerful tide that we use in EmoTrance
to both guide us in the right direction, and to lift us up so we're not doing
the hard work of healing all by our lonesome selves but instead of paddling like
mad, we're flying along on that powerful tide.
The trouble with people is that they tend to get in the way of the Even Flow in
many different ways, not deliberately for the most part, but just unknowingly
and as a matter of fact.
Which brings me to the tale of the cat as promised in the headline.
I have a cat that was run over as a kitten (in the care of her previous owners!)
and has never been too healthy in various ways, but the cat is now about 17 or
18 years old.
About 6 months ago, she slipped whilst trying to jump up on the worksurface in
the kitchen, got her back leg trapped in the metal handle of a drawer, fell
backwards and hung and twisted whilst screaming insanely until I could rush to
get her out.
Although her leg wasn't broken, I assessed that there was damage to the muscles
and sinews that would either heal, or it wouldn't, given her age.
Other than just a little bit of comfort and basic energy healing, some extra
food and a new nest on ground level into which she could limp I didn't do
anything about that and "let nature take its course".
Well, ladies and gentlemen, I can report that today the old cat jumped up by
herself onto the work surface for the first time since her accident.
The leg has healed and her mind, it seems, has gotten over the trauma of the
accident.
The cat is functional again.
Now imagine for a moment this cat was an old lady of 90 years of age who had a
similar accident "at that age".
Would that old lady ever be the same again afterwards?
More importantly, would ANYONE ever expect her to be?
Even more importantly still, would the lady herself actually believe that she
would be "completely over it within 6 months and hopping just as happily as
before"?
That's the question.
An old ladies body is in structure no different to that of an old cat; the real
difference lies in the functioning of thought, expectation, treatment, BELIEF
when it comes to such a body trying to restore the Even Flow.
People always think that we need to chuck so much energy at something to "heal"
it; but the truth is that if we just start and take out that which is STOPPING
or HINDERING the healing process, we are already more than 100% on the right
path and going in the right direction.
Human belief has a POWERFUL impact on the energy system, and it disturbs the
Even Flow right there, and from there, all the way into all the other systems
and finally into physicality itself.
In a recent criminal case, a man was found dead in an alley. He had been
stabbed, and the question was - did he die during the stabbing, or at some time
afterwards, which would have entailed a different charge?
On examination, it was found that the skin had already begun to heal itself - he
had been alive for half an hour after he was left for dead.
The drive towards Even Flow is IMMENSE and it doesn't stop, not ever, and not
until we really are dead.
Until that time, we all of us have this drive inside of us, if we know that or
not, if we believe it or not - we really do.
Not only CAN we heal, WE ARE HEALING all the time - and we won't stop until we
are really and finally dead.
When the old cat jumped up on the surface tonight and made straight for the bowl
of cream awaiting it there, without a backward glance, I came face to face with
the simple fact again that I had absolutely NOT believed that this would be
possible.
I had held the expectation that she would limp forever and until she died
"because she's so old and it's all downhill from there ..."
I am ashamed to say that I had lost faith in the principles of the Even Flow and
presumed an outcome that only existed in my mind.
In reality, the cat DID heal even though she is so old.
We really do have to sit back and get rid of our limiting beliefs and
expectations.
If I'd been the cat, would I have ever healed so completely?
Not with that attitude I wouldn't have. I COULDN'T have. And that's an appalling
thought, and a real warning - if you want to heal as you can, don't block it up
with doubt or expectation of a negative outcome.
I shall remember the cat and make an effort to keep focused on the Even Flow
next time some kind of pain or illness comes along.
And I shall remember to no longer underestimate the power of the Even Flow.
