The StarFields Diary

Happy New Year! Aaah ... a new year.

A new opportunity to have things be different than they used to be - better.

And to celebrate this fact, here is a useful tip from an old teacher of mine as to how to handle New Years Resolutions in a different way, as well :-)

The tip is simple.

Instead of vowing to give up things that you *like*, the idea is to give up things that you don't like.

Ill health, poverty, stress, misery, people, objects and situations that make you miserable.

You give up some of those, and the New Year basically can't help being somewhat better than the previous one has been.

Have a think.

What would you like to give up, and be incredibly glad you'd finally gotten rid of it?

A real burden released, energy gained, forward momentum towards joy and pleasure attained?

We could use a simple EmoTrance process and say to ourselves, once we've found such a thing, "Where do I feel this misery/loneliness/depression/poverty/unhappiness etc. in my body?"

Once a location has been found, we tune into that and ask ourselves the serious question if we are really willing to give this up.

If the answer is yes, we might consider where this needs to go.

Natural channels exist to ferry such energies to their final destination, wherever that may be, for the good of all and harm of none, and we might let these things "soften and flow" - and flow away.

Very nice indeed.

You can do it again if you want, with another misery that you are willing to give up in the spirit of a true New Year's resolution.

By all means, get up and move and dance. Movement helps to let energy flow freely and sends sparkling sensations all around your body which is a very fine thing indeed.

Makes for a great "game" at a party, as well and leaves one fresh and bright, ready to enter the New Year curiously cleaner, lighter and with a smile as we consider the future without those things we really do not need any longer :-)

Wishing you a Great New Year

full of surprises and most of all,

full of delights :-)
